Office of the state engineer. The web site has information on wells in the county, including how deep they are. The District 3 Deming Office of the State Engineer is in charge of Silver City and surrounding counties. The phone number is 505-546-2851. They see their job as answering the public’s questions. The rules on water vary from basin to basin so you should check with the state engineer regarding water rights. They do not offer a clear explanation of water rights on their site. You must call and speak to the state engineer to get an explanation. You can enter the range and section and township and get a list of all wells in the area, and their depth.

Yoga class information:
No class August 21 & August 28!! Classes will resume September 4, NEW TIME 1 pm.
Yoga class will be held on Thursdays, 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. . This is a free, ongoing class, with a gentle and meditative approach to Hatha Yoga. The new location is at the Episcopal church at the corner of Texas and 7th Street. Colleen was trained by Self Realization Fellowship in Detroit. You are welcome to stay for a 10 to 15 minute meditation after class.
